Hi, I am Tani
For years, I didn't know how to combine so many parts of who I am.
The part of me who left the corporate world behind to become a Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®) Hypnotherapist.
The one who loves photography, art, and design.
Who is endlessly curious about people, their stories, and what makes them who they are.
And the one who is passionate about helping people (re)connect with themselves, with others, and with something greater.
For a long time, these interests and experiences felt like separate pieces of a puzzle.
But over time, I began to see how they could come together.
Through my work as a hypnotherapist, I've had the privilege of meeting so many people with beautiful stories, personalities, and qualities that they don't always feel comfortable fully expressing.
And I've noticed how this can show up in front of a camera.
At the same time, I've always loved photography.
Not just the creative process of capturing beautiful images, but the possibility of capturing people's personalities, their energy, and all the little things that make them unique. I truly believe that being photographed can be an experience you genuinely enjoy, without the pressure to look, pose, or act a certain way.
And I began to wonder:
What if I could bring together my background in hypnotherapy, my love for photography, and my passion for helping people feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves?
What if a photoshoot could become an opportunity to explore, express, and celebrate who we are?
And that's how the Safe to Be Seen Experience was born.
To me, this experience is about so much more than creating beautiful photographs. It's about creating a space where you can relax, explore, and let your own unique light shine. Where you can genuinely enjoy being seen.
Not by becoming someone different.
But by being more of who you already are.
Why the Witch Hat?
You may occasionally see me wearing a witch hat.
It tends to spark a little curiosity.
And that's exactly why I wear it.
For me, the witch represents something many of us know all too well:
The tension between hiding and being seen.
Between fitting in and expressing who you truly are.
Between staying quiet and allowing ourselves to take up space.
To me, the witch hat has become a reminder that we don't need to hide parts of ourselves in order to belong.
It's also a reminder of something often referred to as the witch wound. The fear of being judged, rejected, criticised, or cast out for being different, visible, powerful, or fully ourselves.
Whether we see it as an archetype, a collective memory, or simply a very human experience, I believe many of us can relate to that fear in one way or another.
Perhaps the greatest reminder the witch hat offers me is this:
We don't need to make ourselves smaller in order to feel safe.
We don't need to hide the parts of ourselves that make us who we are.
It is okay to be different.
It is okay to take up space.
And it is okay to be fully ourselves.
Much love, Tani
